A very good hardback with red leather spine and corners, with raised bands, gilt tooled decoration, and green morocco title label with gilt. Boards covered with marbled paper with metallic veins, matched to interior endpapers. Some scuffing and bumping to extremities, but all soundly bound.
Text is bright and clean throughout. Particularly well illustrated throughout with in-text illustrations and full page plates. With marbled text block edge, and free of any spotting. A pleasing edition.
