A very good hardback with green paper over boards, housed in its original dustjacket. Mild fading to spine of book. The dustjacket is intact with some rubbing and wear to top edge, and fading to front and spine. Housed in removable protective clear plastic.

The text is bright and clean throughout with mild age toning as is usually the case. Gutter slight open before title page. Text with illustrations key to the novel. A very English crime classic from one of the Queens of Crime writing, set in the world of bell-ringers in the Lincolnshire Fens.
