A fine set of these 2 volumes which have been bound as uniform burgundy cloth hardbacks with brown cloth spine with gilt and title labels. These modern bindings are in fine condition, with only a few gentle scuffs, and the books have been professionally and securely bound into them.

Modern white endpapers, followed by the original texts. Books have unobtrusive library stamps. Text pages are as bright and clean as can be hoped for. Fine veined marbling to edge of text block. Would be difficult to find a better set.

Vol 1: vi + 2pp + 456pp.

Vol 2: Frontispiece portrait with original tissue guard + vi + 1pp + 544pp.
