A good hardback in full contemporary leather with black morocco title label with gilt titles and gilt lined decoration to spine. Covers with some wear and bumping with one small loss to rear (1cm), and rear head and tail along joint starting, but all soundly bound. Previous owner's name to first free endpaper - a blank free endpaper or half title looks like it is absent and there are no blank free endpapers at the rear of the book either.

Text is bright and clean throughout, with some attractive full page illustrations (frontispiece plus 6 pages of illustrations). Contents page is only partially attached with some marginal tears and losses.
