Provenance; from the library of the late William St Clair (1937 - 2021), British historian, academic and author. No signatures or annotations, but there are a couple of cuttings from the Times Literary Supplement including a brief review of the book, possibly written by St Clair. Also included is a presentation note to 'Pooh of Big Brian from Piglet', which is presumably also related to St Clair, but there's are no names included. A near fine blue cloth hardback with gilt with very good dustjacket with a little fading to spine and age toning to edges. Text is bright and clean. Soundly bound. The press cuttings have caused some minor offsetting to the final page of the index.
