A smart first edition copy of the General circulation issue of this book (following the Private printing in 1926). T.E. Lawrence's autobiographical account of his experiences during the Arab Revolt of 1916-1918, is important for several reasons: it's a primary source for understanding the Arab Revolt and Lawrence's role in it, it's a vivid portrayal of the Middle Eastern landscape and people, and it's considered a literary masterpiece by many. The book served as the basis for the 1962 film "Lawrence of Arabia," which further popularized the narrative and solidified Lawrence's place in popular culture.

A very good brown Publisher's cloth hardback of T. E. Lawrence's classic book; With gilt decoration and titles to front and spine. Cover with light wear and a few feint marks, and slightly sunned along edge of spine at front. Slight bumping to head and tail of spine. No dustjacket.

Text is bright and clean throughout with some age toning at page edges. Attractive bookplate and owner's signature of 'J R Little.' at front of book. Includes many well-presented illustrations throughout, and 4 fold-out maps (all in excellent condition). Boren tinted top edge and rough cut edges to vertical and lower edges, as issued.
