The Genealogie of the Mackenzies, Preceeding Ye Year M.DC.LXI. (1661); Wreattin in Ye Year M.DC.LXIX (1669), by a Person of Qualitie (unnamed, but previous owner has annotated the author's name as Mackenzie of Applecross in pencil. The author has also been described as Sir George Mackenzie of Tarbat, afterwards created Earl of Cromartie, by William Fraser in his volumes, The Earls of Cromartie).

Published at the University Press, Edinburgh in 1929. First edition thus. Limited to just 50 copies. Scarce - Worldcat lists only 3 copies of the book held in major institutions, so the quantity of available books surviving in private hands must be extremely small.
A good hardback bound in burgundy cloth with printed paper label to spine. Label a bit worn, and some shelf wear and crinkling to cloth. Free endpapers are foxed - the front one also creased.
Previous owner's inscription to half title - a Mackenzie of Edinburgh.
Text pages are very good - clean and bright and soundly bound.
