Published by Hurst and Blackett, Ltd, London, 1906 first edition. An uncommon book.

A good red cloth hardback with gilt cover design. Covers are worn, rubbed, bumped, and  with soiling. Endpapers cracked to webbing creating a little give in the binding, but all still bound.

Offsetting to free endpapers. Text is clean and bright with occasional spotting. Previous owner's inscription to endpaper. The 12 attractive colour plates are all still bright (and all as called for). With black and white frontispiece. A charming book.
