An impressive large folio book featuring the work of Scottish painter, Sir George Harvey, 1806-1876. Features 19 of the artist's paintings, each with a page of descriptive text, and mounted on stiff card with gilt edge. 

A very good green cloth hardback with red leather corners and spine, with gilt. Soundly bound. With some scuffing and bumping and leather worn in places. Previous owner's bookplate to first pastedown (Charles Tennant, The Glen - Scottish Chemist and Industrialist). Text is very good with scattered spotting - mainly to margins surrounding images. Gilt edges all round.

An impressive and imposing volume.
