The Poetical Works of John Milton. With introductory 'Life of Milton' by J. M. Ross.

A good hardback with red leather spine and red cloth over boards. With black morocco and gilt title label. Covers are bumped with worn corners and some scuffing and a few marks to covers. School prize label - Larchfield Academy, 1900 - to taupe coloured endpaper. Label is foxed. With frontispiece portrait and pictorial title, followed by full title page. The pictorial title has a small loss to lower right corner, and 2cm marginal tear at lower gutter.

The text is clean and bright throughout, with occasional marginal spotting. Text block edges are speckled red and dust toned to top edge. Well illustrated with attractive plates. Text pages with red lined border design.
