Published by in Amstelaedami (Amsterdam), by Johannem Blaeuw and Ludovicum Elzevirium, 1652.

A good copy in its original boards - heavily worn covers with embossed design to covers and raised bands to spine which affix to the covers. Any outer covering of leather or vellum is no longer present. The first 20 or so pages have frayed edges and there is water staining to page edges affecting the first third of the book. Otherwise the text is clear and legible. The last blank endpapers are ragged and torn. Annotations to title page and book must have been in a library at some stage as it carries a 3 digit reference number to spine and inside cover. Handwritten title to spine.

Despite faults, a complete, scarce book of considerable age.

Dimensions: Large format -  approximately 383mm high x 250mm wide x 85mm deep.

Title + vi + 1790 columns (2 columns per page = 895pp) + substantial Index Vocabulorum + 62pp Hyotyposis + 63-366 numbered columns Appendix (again 2 per page).

Text in Latin and Ancient Greek.

Weight: substantial - approximately 4.3kg (unpacked).
