Published by J. and J. Cundee, London. Albion Press edition. Undated, but c. 1800 - from appearance, and the introductory section of the book mentions events up until 1796.

Full calf leather which is worn, bumped and rubbed. With gilt decoration to spine. Leather with losses to spine and binding is somewhat fragile. Cracked joints, with the front cover completely detached.

Text is generally clean and clear, with mild scattered spotting throughout and age toning. The frontispiece portrait of Gessner is detached and with frayed edges and losses to extremities. Includes 7 Plates in total (including Frontispiece), all as called for, and positioned as per printer's instructions. A fair copy.
