The Trials of James, Duncan, and Robert MacGregor, Three Sons of the Celebrated Rob Roy, Before The High Court of Judiciary, in the Years 1752, 1753, and 1754. To Which is Prefaced A Memoir relating to the Highlands, with Anecdotes of Rob Roy and his Family.

Published by J. Hay and Co., Edinburgh, 1818. First edition.

A good hardback with leather spine and corners, with burgundy morocco title labels, gilt and raised bands to spine. With marbled paper over boards, with wear to edges. Covers bumped and scuffed, with wear to outer joints. Previous owner's name in script, dated to 1837, on first pastedown.

Gutter before title page is rubbed and cracked to binding cords, but all still bound. Overall text pages are very good. Bright with some light spotting and occasional minor page flaw... some owner's scripted text at the end of the Memoir section and 1.5cm marginal tear to title page of Trials section.

A nice addition to any library of Scottish history.

Text in English.
