A substantial and impressive publication of Folio size. A scarce copy of this 1815 publication.

A fair brown cloth hardback. Covers scuffed, bumped stained and discolored, worn to boards in a few places. Rebound into this cover at some stage, although not recently. Replacement blank endpapers with strengthening tape to inner hinges.

Title pages are stained and marked with fraying to edges. The full title page is creased, stained and frayed and with vertical tape repair/strengthening to rear. There are other similar taped repairs to pages at front and rear of the book.

The text pages begin at p.5, so missing the first few pages of text. Text is generally bright and clear with scattered foxing and occasional page flaw, such as tear, fold or mark. With foxing to plates and some with tears, particularly at margins. Final page with tear, and last few pages also frayed and nibbled at edges.

Despite the imperfections, still an impressive book.
