First UK edition of Frederik Pohl's Slave Ship, a sharp and unsettling work of mid-twentieth-century science fiction. Blending dystopian themes with Pohl's characteristic satirical edge, the novel explores issues of control, identity, and exploitation within a technologically advanced future society. Though less well known than some of his later collaborations, it remains an early and distinctive example of his socially engaged science fiction.

Slave Ship, by Frederik Pohl.
