Very good blue cloth hardback with gilt thistle motif to front and gilt titles to spine. With good original dustjacket - with nibbles and nicks to extremities and some creases and tearing at top of rear. Spine is age darkened. A scarce example of the original jacket.

Cloth hardback covers still sharp and retaining the colour well. Slight wear to head and tail of spine, and a slight give in the spine due to weight of text block, but all securely bound.

First free endpaper with large corner cut from previous owner's details being removed. With colour title page. Text is bright and clean throughout. Some age spotting to edge of text block. Top edge is blue. No splitting or cracking to endpapers at inner hinges.
