James O'Dea (now Jamie O'Dea); Artist's Studio books, Set of 3, 1980s. Over 300 Pages of Original artwork.
This is a rather splendid collection of 3 artists's studio books, from Scottish artist, James O'Dea, known better as Jamie O'Dea. who was born in Glasgow in 1962, and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1986 to 1989.
His address is noted as being from Kilmarnock in Scotland and two of the books have dates from 1985 to 1986, so the work shows his early development and signs of the expressionistic style is now known for, as an established painter. One of the books bears his signature.
What we have here is a collection 3 original artist's studio books, packed with paintings, drawings, concepts and ideas in mixed media. In addition there is a further bundle of loose leaf work. They provide a visually stimulating look at an artist's development.
The books themselves range from notebook size to large folio.
We have provided many photographs, to give as best we can, an idea of the scope of this work.
