This volume comprises a variety of UK Government Pamphlets produced by the Ministry of Reconstruction, to assist British efforts to rebuild society after the end of World War I.

Contained within are pamphlets, bound with their original covers, covering subjects including Public Health, Town Planning, Natural Science in British Education, Officers' Guide to Civil Careers, Scientific Business Management, British Fishermen, Modern Languages in British Education, Trust Combines and Trade Associations, Poor Law Reform, Child Welfare, Aerial Transport, The Uses of Costing, Industrial Research, Mission of the British Army, and the Business of Government.

Published and printed by Her Majesty's Stationery Office, London, for the Ministry of Reconstruction, April-August 1919. All presumed first editions.

A very good full blue leather hardback with raised bands to spine, and gilt titles. Corners bumped, some shelf wear and discoloration to spine and rear cover which is stained. Inside, the endpapers use the same blue card as the pamphlet covers, with gilt dentelle inner edges, with some opposing offsetting. Blank free endpaper carries a label asking the book to be returned to Mr. Alexander Belch, The Shipbuilding Conference.

The high quality binding has protected the pamphlets well, which are in near fine condition in themselves.
