A good set of 3 hardbacks with leather spines and corners and metallic-veined marbled paper over boards, with matching endpapers. Spines are scuffed and worn with rubbed joints, and have been re-glued (effectively, but not professionally). With raised bands and gilt titles. Slipcase with rubbing and wear, but intact.
Volume I with tipped-in prize presentation plate. Text is bright and clean throughout. Page edges occasionally ragged where pages have been cut to open. Some pages still uncut. Front covers split at inner hinges meaning front cover binding is a little fragile. Text block with gilt top edge.
