Published by William and Robert Chambers (et al), Edinburgh, 1840. Would appear to be a scarce publication - Worldcat only identifies 4 copies of editions of this book, dated between 1837 and 1840, held in libraries worldwide.

A good hardback in contemporary full calf leather over boards, secured by sewn threaded ties to inside covers. Threads are intact at the inside front cover, but now untied at the rear. Covers are scuffed, bumped and rubbed. 

Text is intact with scattered foxing throughout. Still very legible. Occasional monor flaw such as p110-11 where there are some marginal nibbles from the opposing page, when there has been separation of page edges has not quite been clean. Creased endpapers.
