Published by Taschen, Koln, Germany, 2011. First edition thus.

This impressive and comprehensive book presents an amazing archive of Kubrick's working process on the development of his potential masterpiece 'Napoleon' - 'the Greatest Movie Never Made'.

This book followed a limited collector's edition in 2009, which comprised a reproduction of a Napoleon history book to a similar design as this one, which was a case containing an array of 10 separate books. This edition brings together the contents of those books, and also includes a keycard which allows access to an online database of Kubrick's picture file of nearly 17,000 Napoleonic Images (still sealed and never used, in its plastic wallet affixed to the inside front cover, as issued).

A near fine green cloth hardback with gilt cover design and title label affixed to spine. Still includes its original unbroken promotional card wrap. Cover with minor bumping to extremities and head of spine. A few rub marks to top edge of text block.

Inside, text is immaculate and looks unread. Binding is completely sound. Overall a wonderful archival production.

Text in English, French and German.

1112pp.

Dimensions: Approximately 351mm high x 229mm wide x 80mm deep.

Weight: Approximately  4.48kg (unpacked).
