The book's original title from 1695 was 'Camden's Britannia, Newly translated into English: With Large Additions and Improvements'.

This facsimile was published by Times Newspapers Limited, 1971.

A very good cloth hardback of considerable size with red cloth over boards and brown cloth spine with gilt design and red cloth labels. Some spotted marks to red parts of covers. Binding is sound and true.

Text is bright and clean throughout. The final two text leaves have some adhesions to the top corners and a 2mm pinhole at the same location on the final text page. Some usage marks to edge of text block.

An affordable alternative to the original classic survey of Great Britain and Ireland by William Camden and featuring Robert Morden's fine maps.

Text in English.
