A good full leather hardback with gilt decoration, with raised bands and title label to spine. Prize presentation binding with gilt crest of Whitchurch Free Grammar School to the front cover, and prize presentation inscription to first blank. Cover with mild wear and some sun fading to top section of front cover.

Flecked red edges to text block. Front endpaper split at inner joint, but all bound securely. Minor spotting to endpapers. Text is bright and clean throughout with only very occasional age spot.
