Printed for The Third Spalding Club, 1946 first edition. Printed by the Aberdeen University Press. The New Spalding Club was formed in 1886 (following The Spalding Club in 1839). The Third Spalding Club was the final iteration of these societies, and was founded c. 1929. They published scholarly editions of texts relevant to the Aberdeenshire region.

A good hardback with dark green cloth spine with gilt titles, and textured green paper over boards. Some bumping to extremities and some fade marks and discoloration to boards. Very slight give in the spine, but all soundly bound.

Previous owner's name to first free endpaper. Some mild offset discoloration to free endpapers. Text is clean and bright throughout and all fold-out plates are in excellent condition.
