A Short Account of the History of Mathematics, by W.W. Rouse Ball.

Published by Macmillan and Co., Limited, London, 1915. Sixth edition (first published in 1888).

A very good hardback with navy blue leather spine and corners, with blue cloth over boards. Raised bands to spine with gilt titles. Cover lightly worn with a few spots to cloth and wear to title lettering. Binding is completely sound. Blue marbled endpapers matched to text block edges.

Previous owner's signature and date to first free blank endpaper. Spotting to blank endpapers. Previous owner has, in very neat ink script, summarised the history of Mathematics to blank endpapers and half title. They have also placed ink line highlights in the margins throughout the book. The text is otherwise clean and bright throughout.
