A very good full dark blue leather hardback in a full leather prize binding from 'The High School, Roundhay, Nr. Leeds', with prize label dated to 1881 to front pastedown. Gilt armorial and border to front cover with tooled gilt spine, raised bands and burgundy morocco title label. Some shelf wear, rubbing and scuffing to covers. Spine is sunned. Marbled endpapers and full gilt edges to text block. Soundly bound. 

Light foxing to blank endpapers, and with text bright and clean throughout. Well Illustrated with  engraved drawings throughout. An interesting and attractive volume.
