Provenance; from the library of the late William St Clair (1937 - 2021), British historian, academic and author. William St Clair signature to first free endpaper and some substantive pencil annotations to the rear. A good blue cloth hardback with darker fabric spine and gilt titles. With light wear, bumping and rubbing, and some discoloration and spotting to the cover edges. Minor offsetting to endpapers, but the rough cut text block is otherwise bright, clean. A little give in the cover and showthrough to inner joint between some gatherings.
