A Commemorative Catalogue of the Exhibition of Italian Art, Royal Academy, Burlington House, 1930
A Commemorative Catalogue of the Exhibition of Italian Art, held in the Galleries of the Royal Academy, Burlington House, London, January-March 1930; Plates.
Edited by Lord Balniel and Kenneth Clark, in consultation with Ettore Modigliani.
Published by Oxford University Press, London: Humphrey Milford, 1931, first edition.
A very large, beautifully produced, volume of plates from this exhibition. A quality book, printed on high quality paper stock.
A good green cloth hardback with discolored spine, and some bumping, rubbing and shelf wear. Spine is cocked - not surprising due to the size and weight of this book. First endpapers are split at inner joint and previous owner's signature to first free endpaper. No splitting at rear.
A few minor age spots and offsetting to endpapers, but text and plates are nice and clean throughout. Some corner bumping.
Text in English.
xiii + CCLII Plates.
Dimensions: Approximately 365mm high x 295mm wide x 75mm deep.
Weight: Approximately 5.5kg (unpacked).
