A beautifully presented volume of this work by John Hunter, first published by George Nicol of London and printed by John Richardson, in 1794. Very much a deluxe edition from the Classics of Medicine Library, in full top-grain cowhide leather, and 22-karat gold edges to the text block.

A Treatise on The Blood, Inflammation, and Gun-Shot Wounds, by the Late John Hunter. To Which is Prefixed, A Short Account of the Author's Life, By His Brother-In-Law, Everard Home.

Privately printed for the members of The Classics of Medicine Library, a Division of Gryphon Editions, Ltd., Birmingham, Alabama, 1982.

A near fine copy, in a very attractive full black leather binding, with gilt decoration and raised bands to spine. With marbled endpapers, shiny gilt edges to text block and satin page marker ribbon. Illustrated with 8 Plates at the rear.

Text is bright and clean throughout. Soundly bound - looks to be unread. Some mottling to gilt top edge. A very smart book indeed, making a handsome addition to any library.

Text in English.

Prelims + lxvii + 575pp + VIII Plates + (1pp).
