A good set overall. Matching hardbacks with leather spine and corners. With raised bands, gilt tooled decoration and black morocco title labels with gilt. With marbled paper over boards. Covers scuffed and bumped and worn to edges of boards. Endpapers cracked at inner hinges, but all still bound. Small bookseller's stickers to first pastedown and previous owner's label to first free endpaper - "Ellen Perkins".
Text pages are nice and clean throughout and text blocks are sound. Endpapers and first and last few few pages with some age spotting. Some light spotting to text block edges. Both volumes with attractive plates.
