Published by Collins, London, 1971. 2nd English impression (the first publication was in Switzerland in 1965, then first published in English in 1970).
A very good hardback with leather spine and corners. Raised bands with gilt decoration. Blue leather (faded to brown on spine and top edge) and feathered marble paper over boards (design repeated to endpapers). Some shelf wear and rubbing with a couple of small scrapes to the leather in the top right corner of the front cover. Previous owner's signature in pencil to endpaper.
Text is in near fine condition - bright, clean and soundly bound. Coloured top edge. Well illustrated throughout. An unusual and attractive custom binding of this interesting publication.
