Burlington Fine Arts Club; French Art of the Eighteenth Century.
Privately Printed for the Burlington Fine Arts Club, London, 1914. First edition. Printed by Chiswick Press: Charles Whittingham and Co., London.
The Burlington Fine Arts Club produced these substantial, luxurious hardback catalogues for their exhibitions. They were all printed on high quality paper, and lavishly illustrated with plates of the exhibits.
A near fine good orange cloth hardback in handsome condition, with some slight mottling to the rear cover. A little foxing and offsetting to first and last endpapers. Text and plates are bright and clean throughout. A very nice example indeed which has been protected by its slipcase (which is probably an improvised slipcase not issued originally with the book). Soundly bound. A fine production by Chiswick Press.
Text in English.
