Carmina Urbis et Ruris, John F. Fergus, 1906 (for the Town and Country Medical Club, Glasgow)
Carmina Urbis et Ruris (Songs/Verse of the City and the Country), By John F. Fergus.
A humorous poetry collection - many with a Medical theme as the book was printed for the Members of the Town and Country Medical Cub, by James MacLehose and Sons, Publishers to the University Glasgow. 1906 first edition. An uncommon publication.
A good olive green hardback with gilt titles and decals to front, including armorial crest. Bumping and wear to extremities. A few marks to rear cover. Soundly bound. First and last free endpapers with offsetting. Some age spotting to other endpapers.
Text pages are very good overall with some light spotting. Gilt top edge and rough cut edges to vertical and lower edges.
An interesting curio.
