(The Four Greatest Empires, in three books combined, the definitive accurate edition - we believe to be a history of Greece, Rome, Persia and Babylon).

Published Batavorum (Netherlands), 1631, Elzeviriana.
Hardback with original vellum covers and hand inked author name to spine. With 2 later gilt and black labels.
309pp + 24pp index. Very good overall. Binding is sound. Text is very good - clean for age with occasional faded watermarks/stains. Vellum repair to lower right corner of front cover. Old private library label to inside cover. Age discoloration to covers and text as would be expected for a book of this age, but really a rather nice copy. Text in Latin.
