A lovely large engraving from the original portrait (completed c. 1800), housed in the Royal collection, by John Hoppner. Signed by the engraver, Minnie Cormack.
Published in London in 1894 by Paul & Dominic Colnaghi & Co, 14 & 14 Pall Mall East. Impressed with seal of the EVH Printsellers Association.
The print depicts Nelson in full dress uniform, on the shoreline, with the Battle of Copenhagen depicted behind.
Framed under glass with hardwood and gilt surround. Some wear to wooden frame. Brass hanging chain with loops is attached.
The print itself is in very good condition, with some age spotting to surrounding mount.
