Harry Potter; 3 early Ted Smart editions. By J.K. Rowling 1998-99

Three desirable early printings of the first 3 Harry Potter volumes. This publishing phenomenon was first released to the world in 1997. As early as May 1998, Bloomsbury Publishing produced a version of the book for Ted Smart/The Book People'. This was an independent book distribution company that sold books via a self-employed sales force, who would visit customers at their workplaces and sell to them directly. Ted Smart editions were known to cease in April 2001.

This set comprises:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, 1998, Third impression; 

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, 1998, Second impression; 

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 1999, Second impression. 

These edition produced for The Book People Ltd, St Helens, 1998 -1999.  All with corresponding number lines confirming the impression number.

A good set of 3 hardbacks with printed paper covers, the colours remain vibrant and true. Some minor shelf wear marks. Philosopher's Stone with a 2cm split to paper near head of spine at rear cover. All soundly bound, but with a slight lean in the spine. No dustjackets.

Text is generally bright and clear throughout, but with some imperfections. Some mottled light foxing to Philosopher's Stone for the first few pages at front and rear. Some mild age-toning. No owner's inscriptions or marks.

Good early Ted Smart early printings, of the world's favourite children's book.
