The set comprises an outer slipcase with 2 compartments, holding the 2 books, and 1 sealed section, due to the very different sizes of the 2 books.

Printed for the Members of The Limited Editions Club at The Thistle Press, New York, 1961. Numbered, limited edition 1264/1500 (both volumes with matching numbers).

Both books are in near fine condition - bright, clean and soundly bound. Text block edges with decorative speckling. Covers with marbled paper, with gilt metallic ink, over boards and cream cloth spines with printed titles to spine. Some slight cover wear and mild toning to spines. With matching marbled endpapers.

The slipcase is somewhat worn with flaws - splitting at some of the joints, the paper covering the boards is worn and ragged, and the covered compartment at the front has torn paper over the boards.
