Provenance: Bookplate of Robert & Helen Kime to first free endpaper. Robert Kime (1946-2022) and his wife Helen Nicoll (1937-2012) were a distinguished British couple renowned for their refined aesthetic and lifelong devotion to art, literature, and design. Kime, celebrated as one of Britain’s most influential interior decorators and antiques dealers, was admired for his layered, scholarly approach to decoration that blended history, comfort, and authenticity. Helen Nicoll, a children’s author best known for creating the Meg and Mog series, shared his passion for books and collecting. Together, they curated deeply personal interiors filled with rare textiles, antique furniture, and fine volumes

A good hardback bound in Publisher's original cloth with gilt titles. Covers are rubbed, scuffed and bumped, and look rather shelfworn. All bound, but due to type of binding, some showthrough to gutter in places and Plates' binding likely to weaken over time.

Text pages are nice and clean throughout and the Plates are printed on a heavy paper stock. Endpapers with some offsetting and some light spotted foxing.
