This is a handsome copy in a fine binding of this classic tale of Pacific exploration, which would make an attractive addition to any library. The book has been completely rebound in three quarters leather, with marbled boards. Some mild discoloration near base of spine. The contents are soundly bound inside. Frontispiece of John Adams, with facsimile signature plus 17 additional illustrations (all present), including fold-out facsimile of a prayer written by John Adams. Text pages are good overall - some foxing and age discoloration throughout and some of the plates have staining and spotting, but overall a really nice copy to own.
xiv + 16-414pp + plates.
Dimensions: Approximately 167mm high x 115mm wide x 32mm.
