A lively and enduring fixture of British popular fiction, The Sexton Blake Library brought the adventures of the famous detective Sexton Blake to generations of readers across much of the twentieth century, from 1915 until 1968. Issued in inexpensive weekly or monthly format, these compact volumes combined mystery, espionage, crime, and adventure in the classic tradition of British pulp detective fiction, and today remain highly evocative survivals of popular publishing history.
