A fair hardback in contemporary full calf binding with raised bands to spine. Missing title label. Covers scuffed and worn and boards are only loosely attached - the front by the binding cords and the rear by only 1 binding cord. Portrait frontispiece only loosely attached - with previous owner's signature in pencil. No title page or half title, although the book is easily identifiable as the 1784 fourth edition.

Text pages are good throughout - bright and clean with occasional minor flaw such as page crease. Printed on laid paper. Some offset staining to extremities from leather turn-ins.
