A scare pre-publication uncorrected proof copy of this wonderful work by Alasdair Gray, probably the most important contributor to Scottish art and literature in modern times, who passed away on 29 December 2019. The work has its roots in his 1970s play 'The History Maker'.

Note: The title this work changed slightly on publication to "A History Maker", with no mention of the "science fiction novella", and the final published work had many alterations to this version of the text.

Published by Canongate Press, Edinburgh, listing the publication date of 6 October 1994. 

A very paperback with printed red card wraps. Soundly bound. Text pages are bright, clean and soundly bound. Vertical text block edge has a couple of small marks and slightly uneven vertical edge due to some light page edge creasing inside. Slight corner crease to bottom left of rear cover.
