A very good example of this work, rebound in full burgundy leather with raised bands, black morocco labels, and gilt to spine. Housed in a matching slipcase with maroon and black cloth and feathered marble paper to interior - the same marbled paper used on endpapers. All soundly bound. Covers with minimal wear. With page marker ribbons.
Text is bright and clean throughout, with some minor spotting to text block edge. Very occasional light scattered spotting, or minor flaw such as mild offsetting or crease to fold-out. Previous owner's signature to one volume. Fold-outs are very good, with some minor imperfections. Slipcase is in excellent condition. A most agreeable set.
