Printed as a near facsimile of the original printed works (3rd edition for Vol.1, 1st edition for Vol. 2, and 2nd edition for Vol. 3) and using the Stothard illustrations of the popular 1790 edition.

3 Volume limited edition set, edition size of 775 copies.

Published by Constable & Company Ltd, London, 1925. Printed by Charles Whittingham and Griggs (Printers) at the Chiswick Press - and the quality of the printing is noticeable.

A very good set of 3 burgundy cloth bound hardback volumes, with gilt decoration to spine. Some colour mottling to covers and mild bumping to corners. Some fading to colour of spine. Gilt edge to top of text block. Text pages are uncut. Text pages are nice and clean throughout - only occasional age spotting. Soundly bound.
