A very good (approaching near fine) set of hardbacks with leather spines and corners with raised bands and gilt titles to spine. Marbled paper over boards. With same marbled endpapers. Spines just slightly darker than leather on the boards. Some mild wear and bumping. Volume XIII with scuffed marbled paper on the front (but relatively minor - see photograph).
The text is very good - generally clean and bright with occasional mild spotting. All soundly bound with intact endpapers. Each volume has an attractive frontispiece and pictorial half title, separated by a tissue guard (with mild offsetting to guards). A nice addition to any library.
