A very good set of 2 dark green (almost black) cloth hardbacks, in original Publisher's binding, with gilt roundel to front covers and gilt titles to spine. Covers with some scuffing and a few marks. Black endpapers. Inner hinges just a little bit weak, with some give in the spine. 

Each volume has a tissue guarded portrait frontispiece with facsimile signature. Text pages are bright and clean throughout. Some spotting to rough cut fore-edge of text block. Gilt top edge.
