A good black cloth hardback with gilt title to spine. With mild bumping and shelf wear. Housed in a fair to good dustjacket in a removable protective plastic wrap. With nicks and wear to extremities.

Text is bright and clean, and soundly bound. Previous owner's signature to first free endpaper, along with an ink stamp stating a 1985 date. With one marginal pen annotation to p. vii and some pencil notes to rear blank endpaper.
