Tragedie Del Conte Vittorio Alfieri, 1749-1803. A single volume collection of the works of Italian dramatist, Count Vittorio Alfieri, said to be the founder of Italian Tragedy. The volume also contains many other works by Maffei, Monti, Manzoni, Pindemonte Ipp., Pindemonte Gio., Varano, Granelli, Bettinelli, Pellico, Benedetti, Della Valle, Conti and Niccolini.

A very good hardback with leather spine and corners, and cloth over boards. With raised bands and red morocco label with gilt titles. Light scuffing and bumping, and cracking to top 5cm of front hinge. Bookplate of previous owner to first pastedown.
Text is soundly bound. Bright and clean throughout with scattered age spotting, which is mostly marginal. Some key sections have pictorial titles with frontispiece portraits - 4 in total. All with rough cut tissue guards.
