A rare complete set of this Victorian era amusement. The 10 cards tell the tale of a newlywed husband falling for the charms of his new attractive young French cook. Unfortunately for him, he gets caught out by his wife, who appoints a matronly, older cook in her place, and the couple can now live happily ever after!

All 10 cards are present and in very good condition - this is a complete original set and not a composite set of later editions. 

Each card is numbered and captioned to front and on rear (in 6 languages).
