Covers are half brown calf, with marbled paper boards. Raised bands and gilt lettering. Covers are good overall. All intact and bound, but joints just beginning to crack and weaken. Gilt to spine is faded, leather is worn and scuffed, but still an attractive set of an uncommon 1st edition.
Internally, the text pages are in near fine condition. Very clean and unmarked. Volume 1: xvi + 530pp + Errata, Volume 2: vii + 654pp + Errata.
Dimensions:
Each volume 270mm high x 225mm wide. Depth volume 1: 30mm, Volume 2: 40mm. Set weighs approx 3kg.
